Your Role
PL3Y Education Instructors are responsible for teaching our award-winning DANCEPL3Y curriculum-based program to students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. In-School experiences include one-day dance workshops or week-long “residencies” where each student receives 5 lessons with the instructor.

Applicants must be certified (or willing to get certified) in our foundational DANCEPL3Y Kids course to learn how to teach our pre-set choreography using next-level coaching skills.

Once hired into the PL3Y Education role, instructors will be required to complete a secondary specialized training to learn how to deliver the DANCEPL3Y-Ed in-school curriculum-based lesson plans with groups of 40-80 students.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

MINIMUM

-Fitness Enthusiast (you lead an active life, you love to move and want to inspire others to join you!)

-Flexible Schedule (must be available Monday-Friday between 8AM and 4PM)

-First Aid and CPR Training *or ability to obtain

-Recent Police Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) *or ability to obtain

-Certified DANCEPL3Y Kids instructor *or willing to obtain

PLUS

-Energetic and Confident (you’re a natural leader and have the energy to work with kids and teachers)

-Optimistic and Passionate about kids fitness, mental health and movement

-Confident Presenter and Communicator (you speak clearly, have a loud voice and big presence)

-Physically Fit (you are able to jump around and move for 4-6 hours during the day)

-Musically Inclined (you can connect to the beat and move to the rhythm)

BONUS

Priority will be given to candidates with one or more of the following: DANCEPL3Y Kids Instructor Certification, General Fitness Certification, Summer Camp Leadership Experience, Musical Theatre Training or Performance, Degree in Education, Kinesiology, Early Childhood Education or Health Promotion.
